Notice of Public Hearing on the Proposed Designation of the Floyd School as a Local Historic Structure

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 13th day of February 2024, at 5:30 P.M., at a meeting to be held at the Council Chambers at the Dodgeville City Hall, 100 E. Fountain Street, Dodgeville, Wisconsin, the Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Dodgeville shall hold a public hearing where comments on a PROPOSED DESIGNATION OF THE FLOYD SCHOOL AS A LOCAL HISTORIC STRUCTURE IN THE CITY OF DODGEVILLE will be heard.

SUMMARY: 

The Iowa County Historical Society is requesting the designation of the Floyd School, situated at 1301 N Bequette St and located on parcel 216-1074.3H all in the City of Dodgeville, WI as a Local Historic Structure.  Information regarding the proposed designation is available for inspection at the City Hall during regular business hours by appointment by contacting the Clerk’s office at 608-930-5228.

During the public hearing, the public is invited to speak on the proposed designation. Written comments can be submitted to the City Clerk prior to the meeting and shall become part of the record. The public hearing shall be closed when all interested parties in attendance have had a chance to offer comment.
