50/50 Tree Assistance Program

Crab Tree

The Dodgeville Tree Board's Urban Forestry Plan inventoried the trees in the City and identified significant gaps.  It then established a goal of 500 new trees to be planted in the City to enhance the appearance and quality of life of the community.  It has introduced several programs and seeks various public-private partnerships to reach this goal.

Working closely with the Parks department, the plan established the 50/50 Tree Assistance Program so that homeowners can receive financial incentives for planting trees on their own property.  It is hoped that individuals or families will find tree planting more feasible by taking advantage of this program.
