CHIEF - BRIAN CUSHMAN

Chief Cushman started his EMS career with Dodgeville Area Ambulance Service in the fall a 1993 where he earned his Wisconsin EMT-Basic certification in 1994. Over the course of the next 3 years he enrolled in one of the original EMT-Intermediate classes to be started in Iowa County in 1997, earning his Wisconsin EMT-Intermediate certification from SWTC-Fennimore. Cushman is also a Adjunct EMS Instructor II for SWTC-Fennimore, CPR, HAZWOPER instructor, Haz-Mat Technician Level, Rope Rescue Technician, HAM Radio Operator (KC9-PRW), Emergency Management Specialist, Certified Hospital Emergency Coordinator (CHEC II), CNA-Certified Nursing Assistant.and has taken numerous NIMS (National Incident Management System) classes over his career. He currently is a member of the Iowa County Local Emergency Planning Committee, Multi Hazard Mitigation Team and serves on the Iowa County Emergency Services Association (ICESA) as Vice President.  

ASSISTANT CHIEF - BRIAN WHITEHOUSE

In 1997, a year after joining the Dodgeville Fire Department, Assistant Chief Whitehouse started his EMS career with the Dodgeville Area Ambulance Service. He earned his Wisconsin EMT-Basic certification in 1998. A couple years later he earned his Wisconsin EMT-Intermediate certification and has now bridged to the new Wisconsin Advanced EMT level. Whitehouse is currently the Fire Chief of the Dodgeville Fire Department. He is also a Wisconsin State Certified Firefighter II, a Haz-Mat Technician, Rope Rescue Technician, Confined Space Technician, Extrication Technician, Ice Rescue Technician, PADI certified SCUBA diver, and CPR instructor.
