MECHANIC

The City of Dodgeville is accepting applications for the full-time position of First Mechanic.  Applicant shall have completed graduation from a standard high school or vocational school, preferably supplemented by short courses in auto/truck mechanics with related experience. Applicant shall possess knowledge of the operation and maintenance of heavy-duty trucks and other public works equipment.  Applicant shall perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and repair work on all public works equipment and vehicles.  The applicant will also assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of all public works buildings and facilities.  A commercial driver’s license Class B with tanker and air brake endorsements will be required.
