Chicken Permit

KEEPING OF CHICKENS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS (12.16 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE)

The following rules apply to keeping chickens within the City Limits:

• A total of five hens only, NO ROOSTERS allowed
• No slaughtering or bird fighting
• Chickens must be cared for daily; Feed must be kept in airtight containers
• Coops and runs must be provided as described in Chapter 12.16 to ensure animal safety
• Licenses shall be applied for annually and run from Jan 1st - Dec 31st
